ZALAKOMÁR:

Roman Catholic Church:

    The listed building was built in 1772. Its carved, richly ironed main gate and painted ceiling lend a special charm to the building.
    The baptismal font is marble, decorated with a coat of arms, from 1698. At the top is a braid-style cover and a statue.
    In the nave of the church there is an iron-framed gallery on both sides, which is a work from around 1890. His frescoes were made by Dorffmeister.

ZALAVÁR:

Our first king, Stephen I, founded a Benedictine abbey here in 1019, and then placed the center of the royal county here. In memory of this, Zala County erected a memorial column in 1938 on the site of the abbey and castle.

One thousand one hundred years ago, Cyril and Methodius, the convert of the Slavic peoples, the creator of the spelling named after him, lived here. A monument was erected in their honor in 1985, with the entire figurative statue of the Slavic apostles inaugurated here.

Not far from the Cyril-Methodist monument is the memorial chapel built in 1996 on the foundations of the chapel of the St. Stephens era, as well as the ruins of the Récéskút basilica.

GALAMBOK:

Roman Catholic Church - Todays church was built in 1801-1802. His richly painted architecture may have been made in Dorffmaisters workshop. The main altarpiece is the work of Dorffmaister Jr.

HOMOKKOMÁROM:

Homokkomárom is a well-known and popular place of pilgrimage in South Zala. The XVIII. s. The main altar of the Church of the Assumption, established in the first half of the 19th century, preserves the image of the Madonna and the skeleton of the martyr St. Felix. The origins of the Shrine of Mary in the 1700s are linked to an image of the undamaged Mary found outdoors. The monastery next to the church is currently home to the Eight Happiness Catholic Community. The 13th of each month is the Day of Atonement
